Täsch
Tue 28/1/25
Our train to Täsch would only be departing at 1pm from Interlaken West, we had some free time in the morning. After breakfast and checking out at 9.30am, we took some pictures around Wilderswil, and then took the train to Interlaken Ost. From there, we walked along the Aare river towards Brienz lake (Brienzersee), enjoying the views and taking pictures.

After about an hour, we walked back to Interlaken Ost station and took the train back to Wilderswil to take our backpacks and make our journey to Täsch.
For today's train journey, we bought the Supersaver ticket from Interlaken West (as our Interlaken Guest Card covers free transport between Wilderswil to Interlaken West) to Täsch via Spiez and Visp. We decided to buy the Supersaver ticket at CHF 29.80 (RM 150) per person as there was ample transit time to change platforms (15 mins at Spiez and 7 mins at Visp). If the transit time for transfer was shorter, we wouldn't risk taking the Supersaver, and would opt for the Point to Point ticket instead. Point to Point would enable us to take the next train if we missed the connection, whereas for Supersaver, we would have to strictly follow the designated connection schedule.
For the 15 min transit time at Spiez, Partner In Crime even went outside the station to take photos of the Thun lake (Thunersee) while I waited to watch for our luggage.

We arrived Täsch at 3pm, then walked to our apartment Petit Paradisli, booked through Booking.com for 225 CHF (RM 1136) for 2 nights. City tax was collected by the owner separately at 4 CHF per person per night. The owner messaged us the code for the key safe to unlock the key to the apartment.

The apartment has a kitchen, coffee machine and washing machine so we were able to cook and wash our clothes. On hindsight, I could have brought less clothes. We were also welcomed with mineral water and a bar of Toblerone chocolate.
After a bit of rest, we went to Coop supermarket for groceries shopping. We bought basmathi rice, butter, salmon, eggs, salad and milk to cook our meal for tonight and the next 2 days. Our groceries total was CHF 37.80 (RM 190). Tonight we had rice with salmon and salad for dinner.

After dinner, we washed our clothes and hung them in the house, with the foldable clothing line provided by the apartment. We then called it a day for today. Tomorrow we would be going to Zermatt, then up to Gornegrat to see the Matterhorn.
